RIVERLINE APP
Terms of Use
These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the Riverline mobile application and related services provided by Pointfront Technologies Private Limited, operating as Riverline ("Riverline", "we", "us" or "our").
1. Acceptance and eligibility
By installing, accessing or using Riverline, or by affirmatively accepting these Terms in the app, you agree to be bound by them and by our Privacy Policy. You must be at least 18 years old, legally competent to contract and located in India. If you do not agree, do not use the app.
2. Your account and information
You must provide accurate, current and complete information, including a mobile number that you control. You are responsible for activity performed through your verified account and for promptly notifying us of suspected unauthorised access. Do not share verification codes with anyone.
3. What Riverline provides
Riverline provides AI-supported credit counselling, credit-report insights, debt-resolution guidance and tools that may help you understand and communicate about your obligations. Riverline is not a lender, credit bureau, law firm, tax adviser or investment adviser. Unless expressly stated, we do not make lending decisions, guarantee a loan, settle a debt on your behalf without authorisation, or guarantee any improvement to a credit score or financial outcome.
Information generated by automated systems may be incomplete or incorrect. You should review important information and communications before relying on them and seek qualified professional advice where appropriate. Financial decisions remain yours.
4. Experian Credit Information Consent
Before any retrieval, the app presents a separate, unselected consent control. By affirmatively accepting that consent, you appoint Pointfront Technologies Private Limited, operating as Riverline, as your authorised representative to receive your Credit Information from Experian Credit Information Company of India Private Limited ("Experian") on your behalf.
"Credit Information" includes your consumer credit information report, credit score, aggregate scores, inferences, references and related details made available by Experian. "CICRA" means the Credit Information Companies (Regulation) Act, 2005, together with applicable rules, regulations, circulars and amendments.
You authorise Riverline to obtain and use Credit Information solely for credit counselling and debt resolution, including credit information retrieval and analysis, debt-consolidation assistance, settlement or closure of overdue or written-off obligations, and assistance with access to new or refinanced credit where requested by you (the "End Use Purpose").
Your authorisation may operate on an ongoing basis for the period shown at the time of consent and will not exceed six months. You understand that Experian will provide Credit Information to Riverline in reliance on your instructions and consent, and that Experian is not responsible for how Riverline uses the information after lawful delivery.
Riverline will use Credit Information only for the End Use Purpose and will not aggregate, retain, store, copy, reproduce, republish, upload, post, transmit, sell or rent it except as permitted by your consent, CICRA and the applicable agreement with Experian. Riverline will destroy, purge or erase the applicable Credit Information within one business day after completion of the relevant transaction or End Use Purpose, subject to any record that applicable law requires us to retain.
The Experian consent is an electronic record under the Information Technology Act, 2000 and does not require a physical or digital signature. Matters arising specifically from that consent are governed by Indian law and subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of courts in Mumbai.
5. Connected email features
If you connect a Google account, Riverline may use permitted email access to identify relevant conversations, prepare drafts, monitor replies and assist with follow-up. You must review communications and approve the relevant action before a message is sent. You are responsible for ensuring that a message accurately reflects your instructions. You may disconnect the account at any time.
6. SMS, location and notifications
Some optional features may request access to financial transactional SMS, approximate foreground location or notifications. The app explains the purpose before requesting permission. You may deny or later revoke a permission through device settings, although the related feature may become unavailable or less effective.
7. Communications and electronic records
You agree that we may provide service, security, consent and account communications electronically through the app, SMS, push notification, email or other contact details you provide, subject to applicable law and your communication choices. Electronic acceptance and records have the same effect as written records where permitted by law.
8. Acceptable use
You must not:
- Provide false information, impersonate another person or use an account you do not control.
- Use Riverline for unlawful, fraudulent, abusive or deceptive purposes.
- Attempt to access another user's data, interfere with security, or probe or disrupt the service.
- Copy, scrape, reverse engineer, resell or commercially exploit the app except where law expressly permits.
- Upload malicious code or use automated means that impose an unreasonable load on the service.
9. Third-party services
Riverline may rely on credit-information companies, communications providers, payment providers, analytics tools, hosting services and other third parties. Their products and external links may be governed by separate terms and privacy policies. We are not responsible for a third party's independent services, availability or decisions.
10. Paid features
If Riverline offers a paid feature, the price, billing period, taxes, cancellation terms and any applicable refund terms will be displayed before you purchase or subscribe. Payment processing may be performed by an authorised third-party provider. Nothing in these Terms creates a charge unless a paid feature is clearly offered and accepted by you.
11. Intellectual property
Riverline and its licensors own the app, software, branding, interfaces and related content, excluding information you provide and third-party material. We grant you a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable and revocable right to use the app for its intended purpose while these Terms apply.
12. Suspension and termination
You may stop using the app at any time. We may restrict or suspend access where reasonably necessary to address security, unlawful use, breach of these Terms, legal requirements or material risk to users or the service. Where appropriate, we will provide notice or an opportunity to remedy the issue.
13. Disclaimers
To the extent permitted by law, Riverline is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. We do not warrant uninterrupted availability, error-free automated output, availability of a credit report, acceptance by any lender or creditor, a particular settlement, or any financial result. Nothing in these Terms excludes a right or remedy that cannot lawfully be excluded.
14. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Riverline and its directors, employees and service providers will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, punitive or consequential loss, loss of profits, or loss arising from decisions made solely on automated output. Our aggregate liability for claims relating to a paid feature will not exceed the amount you paid for that feature during the six months before the event giving rise to the claim. This limitation does not apply where liability cannot be limited by law.
15. Indemnity
To the extent permitted by law, you agree to indemnify Riverline against third-party claims arising from your unlawful use of the app, material breach of these Terms, or communications you authorise that infringe another person's rights. This does not apply to loss caused by Riverline's own breach or misconduct.
16. Changes to the service or Terms
We may update the app or these Terms to reflect product, legal or security changes. Material changes will be communicated as required by law. Continued use after the effective date of updated Terms constitutes acceptance where permitted; otherwise we will request renewed acceptance.
17. Governing law and general terms
Except for the Experian consent clause above, these Terms are governed by Indian law, and courts in Bengaluru, Karnataka will have jurisdiction, subject to any mandatory consumer forum or other non-excludable right. If a provision is unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue in effect. Our failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver. You may not assign these Terms without our consent; we may assign them as part of a permitted business transfer.
